The Three S's

It is said that in college, there are three S's: studying, sleeping, and a social life. You can only ever have two of the three. In my case, one of the three is usually all I can expect. Tonight/this morning, I am choosing to try and have a social life for a minute. For those of you who don't know me, I am sorry, for that is most assuredly my fault for being a wuss and not wanting to leave my comfort zone of my very limited circle of friends (friend). I am limited at this point in my life needing to do well in my studies, but I don't want to hide behind that excuse. My position has always been that if something is important to you, you make time for it. From now on I will be making time for the people in my life who don't know me and I respectively don't know. I may not have a lot of "social life" time, but I will try to learn and share what I can with it. For now, I am writing this blog since I have so very little otherwise to offer. And also, I'm jumping on the bandwagon!

Here, I will write about my life and my passions. Just like my mind and my personality, you can probably expect this blog to be all over the place. Hopefully you'll enjoy it.

Here's something cute and light to start: Little things can make my day, the right comment at the right time, the light being green when I need it to be, anything that's free (I'm cheap).

A list of things that have recently made me disproportionately happy:
-a band aid on a crack in the sidewalk
-going the proper speed passing a cop (Haylee can attest to the fact that I had a mini celebration in which I may have told the cop to suck it-I love cops but have gotten a lot of "Really?!" tickets lately)
-downloading songs from the Inception and Dark Knight soundtracks so I feel really epic when I'm doing my engineering and calculus homework
-I picture Jesus beside me (not in the 15 year old girl "Jesus is beside me everywhere" kind of way but in the crazy, "I can literally picture Jesus beside me and he thinks my dark sense of humor is hilarious" kind of way)
-the fact that I'm way better at math than my asian counterpart in Calculus. (is that racist?)

That's my sleepy list of happiness. Much better things to come, hopefully.

  1. Well I hope your circle has expanded to two here recently. Also, I sometimes wonder what Jesus actually thinks of our dark senses of humor.

  2. You are such a freak, but I really love it. And that I'm being alluded to in parentheses. Casablanca.
